Formerly “The Rock Café”, this historic space has been serving Madison County since 1947. While adding our own twist we strive to keep the spirit of the café alive!
Once a bus stop for locals, Marshall Main St Cafe has had many names. We strive to keep the spirit of the café alive. John and Julia took over the café in 2024 and gave it an americana-retro spin making it feel like a friendly, and cozy place for a cup of hot coffee or a full fledged american breakfast. For lunch we offer a variety of hot and cold sandwiches, salads, and a few delicious tex-mex options. For dinner we dim the lights, offer live music, and seasonal specials. Currently we are only open on Saturday nights for dinner but hope to add more evenings to our calendar soon! Check out our events page for special nights or outdoor events! See you at the Café!
Testimonials
We stopped in for breakfast one morning during a trip to Marshall and were thoroughly impressed. We got the bacon, egg and cheese biscuit and the sausage, egg and cheese biscuit and both were delicious, they use cheddar cheese and aren't shy with it so you get a great cheese pull. The staff was very pleasant too. Google maps didnt reflect this yet at the time we stopped by but they've extended their hours, they're now open on Tuesdays from 9am-3pm and on Saturday from 8am-2pm and 5pm-9pm.

This was a wonderful find as we drove around the Hot Springs area.
We found our way to Marshall and found exactly what we were looking for, for breakfast!
Breakfast Burritos 🌯.
Super friendly staff, was able to order a sausage+sweet potato burrito, which was super flavorful and filling.

A real locals’ breakfast and lunch cafe. Had two of the Specials: the best lobster bisque ever and an exceptional heirloom tomato and mozzarella salad. Also tried the homemade, double battered chicken sandwich that was also out of this world. The servers made us feel like they knew us and we lived there in town.

I love this place. Great atmosphere and even better food. Delicious staples like Philly cheese steaks and quesadillas, as well as amazing specials like lobster bisque, heirloom tomato salad, and even crab cakes. They keep it fresh and interesting and clearly the owners passionate about food and hospitality.I am also obsessed with the grilled steak quesadilla.
Lovely staff and very involved and present owners. So lucky to have such a wonderful (and affordable) diner in Marshall. Oh also the patio seating has a super- chill, small- mountain-town vibe.
